ISTANBUL & SEVEN CHURCHES OF REVELATION

Day 01 : New York

 

It’s an evening departure, Over night flight on board

a luxury wide body aircraft with dinner and breakfast on board.

 

Day 02 (SUN): ISTANBUL


Arrive at Istanbul International Airport where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Overnight in Istanbul.


Day 03 (MON): ISTANBUL


This morning see two masterpieces of Byzantine art - the Kariye and St. Sophia museums. Savor the beauty of the colorful biblical mosaics and frescoes that adorn the insides of both museums which now live side-by-side with Islamic calligraphy. Then visit the more worldly pleasures of the Topkapi Palace and the stain glass, Iznik tiled interior of the Blue Mosque.
Overnight in Istanbul (B,L).

 

Day 04 (TUS): ISTANBUL/IZMIR/THYATEIRA/SARDIS/PHILADELPHIA/PAMUKKALE


After having breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Izmir. Arrival in Izmir and drive to Thyateira, and Sardis, the ancient Lydian capital. Philadelphia, the youngest of the "Seven Churches of Revelation", visiting the still standing remains of an early church and the city walls.

Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale (B,L,D)


Day 05 (WED): HIERAPOLIS/LAODICEA/EPHESUS/IZMIR


After breakfast departure for tour of Hierapolis. Visit to Laodicea, a crossroad of the ancient world, home of Philip the Evangelist. Continue to Ephesus, most important of the "Seven Churches of Asia Minor", where St. John brought Mary in fulfillment of his pledge to Jesus to protect her, she is believed to have taken into heaven. Visit to the last abode of Virgin Mary and St. John Basilica.

Overnight in Izmir (B,L).


Day 06 (THU): IZMIR/PERGAMUM


In the morning visiting to St. Polycarp Church and a short tour of the city Departure for Pergamum, visit the Church of Pergamum, the red-court, Acropolis, and the Acslepion. Evening return to Izmir and overnight in Izmir (B,L).

Day 07 (FRI): IZMIR
